Written by the knowledge-holder ’A pha Khyi dmar ri when he subdued the gods in Lo Montang.

’A pha (pronounced “Awa”) is a obsolete name for the area of what is now northern Lo in which Monthang is located. Khyi dmar ri is the actual clan name of the Drangsong priestly lineage.
