Translation of colophon | In this condition, with the mind not following what has happened in the past nor planning for what will come in the future, and the consciousness cutting off whatever it rermembers and whatever may arise, like a sickle cutting a hundred blades of grass, and a hundred streams of water merging under a bridge, so that with one-pointed awareness, like a spear aimed the consciousness of this very instant; and in that condition, like water gushing upwards, all errors of worldliness come to us like a stream of water flowing steadily and continually from a copper pipe. At this moment, the fundamental mind is like the bright sun, illuminating ….

| 10. General remarks | dKar ru grub dbang bsTan ’dzin rin chen rgyal mtshan (1801-1861?) was from eastern Tibet. He travelled to Mustang between 1844 and 1852, and built a temple in Lubrak in 1846. The name of the location where the scribe made this copy is not known, and is written indistinctly. Elements of the name may be in Nepali. |
