9. Translation of colophon | I, Phun tshogs don ‘grub, have finished writing in the hermitage of Samten Ling, and I hope that because I have written it well, it will please my uncle! Make… sTag lha deity… joyful… may uncle… be like the sun… return this to all beings as vast as the sky, foremost of whom are my mother and my aunts. By reciting this text three times each as a meditational deity, may I see the yidam Phur pa and his entourage, and abide in the ultimate nature of phenomena. May glorious auspiciousness be the ornament of the of the world. Virtue. Blessings. Good fortune. May uncle Drangsong be joyful! |
10. General remarks | The scribe, Phun tshog don ‘grub, appears in a number of works in this collection. He was a member of the Drangsong family and had connections with Samling monastery in Dolpo. |
