9. Translation of colophon

Perform the exhortation thus. Offer red first-beer (i.e., with blood); cast handfuls of magical missiles (thun, either white stones or mustard seed). Burn one of the pair of linggas in a homa pit with a noxious fire; put one in a skull and submerge it in a grim lake or a grim spring. Then, throw nine tormas as missiles at the enemy’s direction, and the enemy will not live for long. This sādhana practice of the Queen of the Universe as a demoness is over. This is a teaching of the Zhang zhung masters and inherited by dMu tsa gyer med. It is over. Seal, seal, secret!

The treasure was hidden in a main place and two lesser places in order to be closely guarded by the treasure guardians. May they be found by someone in a future generations who has the proper karmic propensities.

The treasure paper for this one is golden red. It is seven finger-widths long and four wide, with nine sheets, each with five lines, up to fourteen lines…? ’phreng lnga phyi nas bcu 4’i bar la dag par tshigd (tshig bcad?) phul dgo. In each treasure place, there are three mantras. May there be virtue and blessings. I apologise in front of the dharma protector deities for all my mistakes, for not being able to complete all the work because of my lunatic behaviours, for guiding my hand inaccurately, for dripping ink, for missing letters, for mistakes that have been erased.

10. General remarks

Although not explicitly stated, the style of language suggests that, like the postscript to the previous Khro bo name, this may also have been copied from the Samling monastery.
